Description: Vintage California Pottery 1069 stoneware egg/oyster plate w embossed rooster Description: Offering a vintage egg plate which hold 16 eggs or appetizers. The best color description is yellow mustard. Unique design includes an embossed rooster with exaggerated large tail feathers. [The lophotos show a scrap of clear tape on the plate, which we have removed in its entirely.] Maker’s Mark: CALIF USA 1069 (or 6901 if I’m reading it upside down). Dimensions: 12” diameter. Weighs 2 pounds Condition: VERY GOOD: Shows minor signs of wear and use commensurate with age but still very attractive. The rims are smooth. Glaze is shiny. NO cracks, crazing or staining that we could see in daylight or white LED light. One small chip on the underside of the plate as seen in the last photo.
