The hand dipped, hand carved, large, center candle contains a well for lamp oil and a wick so the candle can have a flame but never burn down. You can have a flame to focus on but never lose your beautiful centerpiece. Lamp oil NOT included. The two side candles ARE made of wax with traditional wicks so they WILL burn down. Probably don't want to light those. The center candle is 9", the two side candles are 6". Depending on the height of the candlesticks you use for the side candles, you can add quite a lot of height and carry the black or white color theme a bit further.
