Link makes another strange discovery when he gains possession of the mysterious Rod of Seasons, a magical device that allows him to change summer to winter or spring to fall. By using the powers of this magical relic, Link may yet be able to travel to the most remote areas of the land, collecting the items and information he'll need to rescue the beautiful Din. All the hopes of Holodrum depend on it.

Although both this release and its companion Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages are full-fledged, stand-alone games, players that solve one of the adventures will be given a password that can be used in the other. Starting the second adventure with a password from the first allows character names and some items and abilities to be carried over, giving the already seasoned adventurer a well-deserved advantage as he begins his next quest.
