From 1972 to 1998 he operated Peeler Pottery in Reelsville, Indiana with his wife, Marj. Richard and Marj Peeler began working together in 1972, often working on each other’s pieces. They glazed together, stacked kilns together, packed and shipped together. Most of their pottery is turned on the potter’s wheel using stoneware. They did however make hand-built pots and sculptures and one-of-a-kind pieces. The surfaces of their pieces are often highly carved with slip trailing used to create more depth. They worked as a team producing utilitarian and artistic pottery until Richard’s death in 1996.My shipping price includes my actual postage cost as well as packing/handling cost (bubble wrap, boxes, tape, envelopes, etc.) with transportation to post office and my time. It entails more than the postage stamp amount when it arrives to you.
