Description: Please note: This listing is for the frameset only (Frame, fork, headset and bottom bracket). It does not include the partial component kit. I have that listed separately if you want it.This is a very limited production (some reports say less than 50 made worldwide) replica of the bike that Andy Schleck rode in the 2010 Pro Tour season, including when he won the Tour de France. It is a standard S-Works Tarmac SL3, and is not the team version of the frameset which had a heavier carbon layup and shorter head tube. This is a factory painted replica with serial number. The actual Saxo Bank team framesets were custom painted McLaren silver and used vinyl for a lot of the graphics. And they did not have serial numbers. I know this because I actually own one of Frank Schleck’s team bikes from that year. I was going to build this up as an exact component by component replica of Andy’s bike. But as my arthritis has gotten worse with age, I’ve lost interest in the project. It deserves to be ridden, not hanging in a garage or on a wall. And until I get my knees replaced, I’m kind of stuck with riding eBikes. I am also offering for sale, under a separate listing, a partial component kit that will help you build an exact replica of Andy's bike. These are the components that were the hardest for me to find when I was gathering everything together, so if you want to build an exact replica, it would benefit you to buy this component kit. The SRAM Red groupset is very easy to find and the Zipp wheels of that era are quite easy to fine on eBay too. The only component I was not able to find was a stem with the correct specialized lettering. But you can easily find other stems that are close. The component kit is in a separate listing on eBay and includes the following: Specialized carbon crankset with the correct logo (very hard to find this logo). It is a bit scratched up, but could be touched up. 170mm crank length. SRAM PowerGlide 50/36 chainrings (Andy’s bike used 53/39 of course, but I don’t have the wattage that he has and so chose to go with a compact setup). Tacx Tao carbon water bottle cages FSA Energy aluminum handlebar (these are relatively easy to find, but not in this near mint condition) Prologo Nago EVO TR Saddle (Andy’s bike had a limited-edition version of this saddle that featured a likeness of the Schleck bothers dressed as the Blues Brothers. I have never seen one for sale. Specialized S-Wrap Roubaix bar tape in white Gore Ride-On brake cables The frameset has brand new ceramic BB30 bottom bracket bearings. The headset bearings are used but in excellent condition. I estimate the frame had maybe 1500 miles on it tops when I bought it. There are a few small nicks and scratches, but nothing serious. It is not mint, but very clean. There is a chip in the paint and an area where it looks like a magnet was glued on maybe, near the bottom bracket, but it will be covered once a crankset is installed. Look at the pictures for more detail. There is a great video online made by Specialized where Andy goes over his new custom painted bike. Just search for “Andy Schleck's Custom Painted Tarmac SL3”. I’m including some pictures of Andy’s team bike from the 2010 season for a reference on how it was built up. I have a ton of pictures that I will share with the buyer upon request.
