Unfold and expand it to form a circular loop. 3. Plug the cable into your radio's antenna jack. 4. Sit the antenna vertically (it won't receive if laying flat). 5. Turn radio ON and tune between 100 Khz to 600 Khz. 6. Antenna is Bi-directional, rotate for strongest signal. 7. If comparing antennas by removing an antenna from radio's antenna jack, some radios must be tuned onto the station again to allow the radio to auto-detect and auto-tune the new antenna inserted. 8. You will obtain over 20dB gain or more above your radio's built-in antenna. 9. Use the supplied mailing tube or similar to store the antenna when not in use. 10. The antenna is made of foam, but do not wad or twist sharply. 11. The Tecsun radio automatically tunes the antenna. But you can use with any brand of portable longwave radio: in this case the Antenna can be tuned with an external variable 365 pF capacitor placed across the cable.
