Hasselblad H4D-40 Medium Format Camera w/ 40MP Digital Back + 80mm Lens

Description: You are bidding on one Hasselblad H4D with 40 megapixel back and 80mm f2.8 HC lens. I am the second owner, and have put most of the use on it through its life. This has had very low use, with body count of 1,435 and lens count of 1,373. It has lived in one studio for almost all of its life. I have all of the original caps except I can't seem to find the original Hasselblad lens cap - I will include a generic replacement. There is a small mark on the sensor that doesn't seem to clean off - it may be inside or on the coating of the IR glass. Much like dust on a sensor, it appears as a dark out of focus spot that becomes more clearly defined as you stop down. It is the lightspot on the close-up detail spot of the sensor. The dark spots are dust on the sensor of my eBay camera. Most countries have service locations that will replace the IR glass and recalibrate focus, I don't know if this sensor unit is one that is still serviced. This is an extremely sharp sensor and lens combo - it has detail "all the way down" to 100% and greater magnification when editing. I got best results with hasselblad's processing software, but also very good results editing in lightroom. I also enjoyed shooting it tethered. I did find the built in screen leaves a lot to be desired, and isn't to be trusted for evaulating tone and color of your images. This is because it is fairly old technology compared to new cameras. I very recently rebuilt the battery with new cells from AA portable power in California, as described in a getdpi.com forum post by another user. I haven't felt like the charge indicator in the charger has been extremely reliable - it may need to be replaced sometime in the future. Cosmetically, this is in excellent condition. It has been very well taken care of. I pack carefully and ship promptly from central Pennsylvania. Because of the lithium battery this will have to be shipped via ground. I am including a 30 day free return period should it not live up to your expectations. The hassleblad battery charger is included but not pictured.
