Description: Circa 2010 Deacon John Martin of Cumberland, Maryland Hand Made & Carved Wood Chess Set - Includes 17 1/2" x 17 1/2" Beveled Wood Chess Board, Complete Set of Hand Carved Wood Chess Pieces, and Square Hinged Wood Box with Velveteen Lining Offered is an original Circa 2010 Deacon John Martin of Cumberland, Maryland Hand Made & Carved Wood Chess Set that is in New, Unused Condition. Thie Hand Made Chess Board measures 17 1/2" x 17 1/2" and has pieces of velveteen in the corners to protect the surface on which it is placed. The Hand Carved Pieces range in size - King 3 1/2" tall; Queen 3" tall; Bishop 2 3/4" tall; Rook 2 3/4" tall; Knight 2 1/4" tall; & Pawn 2" tall. They all have velveteen on the bottom to protect the surface on which they are placed. The Square Hinged Wood Box measures 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 3 3/4". The inside of the box has velveteen on the inside top & bottom. This Chess Set has never been used; however, it has a 4 3/4" scratch near one of the corners that is shown in photo 10.
