To help alleviate this, Glock came out with the DOT connector. The DOT's attributes were in between the unmarked 5.5and the famous 3.5 (minus). The DOT maintained a good crisp break with a reduced weight that is perfect for a defense pistol. For many, this was just right especially with a Gen 3 trigger bar. It is rated at 4.5 to 5.0 lbs. Crisp with a shorter reset than the 3.5. Glock changed the angle of the connector lip to reduce the pull weight. See picture of the 3 connectors. Unmarked 0 degrees crisp with a short reset 5.5-6lbs DOT 6 degrees crisp with a short reset 4.5-5lbs 3.5 minus 10 degrees less crisp with a slightly longer reset 3.75-4lbs This is the same connector that comes in Gen 5 models. This connector is also great with reduced firing pin spring and reduced safety spring, resulting in crisp break, lower pull weight, and a short reset.
