It does not take a filter as you can see by the clean stinger. Perfect draw if the stinger is removed, not bad if it remains. The length of the pipe is 5 1/2". inner bowl width measuring at the rim opening is 3/4". I would say the inner bowl is 1 1/4" deep. The dimensions are done to the best of my ability.
