Ben Hogan Sand Iron 1957\1958 RARE

Description: This is an extremely rare 1957\1958 Ben Hogan Sand Iron. This sand iron would have been accessory club that could have been added to either the 1957 Precision irons or the 1958 Hogan Sunburst Sabers. The shaft is an original Pro Fit R flex shaft that still has the beautiful full leather grip. You can tell the date of this clubs based upon the three rings that surround the hosel. This three ring configuration was started with the Hogan Precision Irons in 1957 and also included on the Hogan Sunburst Sabers for 1958. It was changed to a single mesh ring on the 1959 Sabers. Very few of these clubs were made and even less of them are in this condition. These were utility sand irons and most of them would have been beat up pretty badly. The stampings and chrome on this clubs are still incredibly deep and crisp. For collectors of vintage 50's Hogan clubs this is a rare opportunity to add a very unique piece to your collection. These clubs do not surface very often. Beautiful club, ready for play or display out of the box. The club measures 34 1/2 inches and is an E0 swing weight.
