Description: Beautiful antique large art nouveau porcelain floor vase artistically decorated with 2 large birds perched on a branch surrounded by a colorful bold realistic and abstract nature design of the period. Vase probably dates to the period 1900 - 1910. Previously used as lamp sometime ago and hole filled. Remaining mark shows N.P. 226 house symbol Holland Gouda . Height is 26 inches. The Plateelfabriek Zuid factory opened in 1898 and in the early years of operation produced wonderful artistic pieces during art nouveau and arts and crafts periods. Wonderful pieces like this vase were created from Zuid Holland Gouda and others like Rozenburg Zsolnay etc. Condition is very good with only the repaired lamp hole.
