The Australian Perth Mint Kookaburras are made of 0.999 silver with a new reverse design each year making these coins a popular choice for collectors. The Kookaburra obverse always depicts the reigning monarch (Queen Elizabeth II during her reign and as of the 2024 issue the Obverse features King Charles III). The early issues depict a young Queen Elizabeth II, but like most Australian coins this was later changed to a more mature Elizabeth. For such a Stunning and Exciting collection, we find that Littleton’s custom album is the perfect way to display and protect this collection. The album pictured comes with an additional page holding 9 coins in addition to the clear slide covers located in in the white envelope pictured and attached on the inside cover of the album. You should be able to add to this Beautiful Collection for years to come. The reverse of each coin (Kookaburra design) is displayed on the front of each page as you leaf through the album. The 1995 coin has two small toning blemishes on the lower left portion of the coin and shown on the additional photos of the reverse and obverse. The 2000 coin has some toning on the top of the coin both on the reverse and obverse also shown on the reverse and obverse of the coin. We do not find that the toning on either coin detracts from the beauty of either coin or collection. ***TROY Ounce - Troy ounces are used to measure weights of gems and precious metals. A Troy ounce is a unit of weight equal to 31.1034768 grams. A Standard ounce Is a unit of weight equal to 28.349 grams, or about 10% less than a troy ounce.
