A beautiful, stunning very large handmade silk Chantilly lace square panel, used originally as a mourning shawl / veil, but due to its size it could also be used decoratively in an interior. It has been treasured and well looked after, there are some breaks in the net and numerous historic repairs, which I believe are sympathetically done and do not detract at all and mostly hard to see ...the last 5 photos show some of the repairs.
