Description: The following work is set up in a two chapter format, that being Non Short Castle Attacks (Overwhelmingly non-castled positions), and Short-Castle Attacks. For each chapter there are subheadings for Pawns, Knights, Bishops, Rooks, General Tactics (no piece showing dominance), Queen Usage, and finally Queen Sacrifices. The first chapter on Non Short Castle Attacks showcases center attacks on non-castled positions. These are typically the resuld of poor defensive understanding on the part of black as these are rarely seen in modern day play. With that said, they do provide for immense entertainment, and appreciation can be given for Alekhine's ability to induce mates in such situations. As modern players will sometimes avoid castling in an effort to change up play, they still have review value. The second chapter on Short-Castle attacks is more serious in nature, and works to properly showcase Alekhine's combination play on well defended positions.
