Description: A "Used" Maybe 5 Times, 7 Foot, 5 Weight, 2 Piece 1 Tip Bamboo Fly Rod builton a Barry Kustin Blank, with a Struble Reel Seat with a Butterwood Insert! I bought this rod at a Southwest Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers (Now Called Fly Fishers International) Conclave, and I've used it MAYBE 5 times. I have quite a number of Bamboo Fly rods and I try to rotate their use, but like most every other Fly Fisher I know, have a few favorites that get used the most. The Bamboo is lightly flamed and the 2 pieces are joined by a Nickel Silver Ferrule. The Guides are held on with Brown Silk that is tipped in Red Silk. The guides are premimum Snake Guides and their is also a Nickel Silver Winding Check with a Hook Keeper just above it. This Rod has a Medium Fast Action, and you coud go up or down a line size with no problem. The Grip is Portuguese Cork above a Struble Sliding Ring Reel Seat with a Butterwood Insert. The insert only has a couple of small dings, that will not show when the Fly Reel is attched. The Rod also comes with a Blue Water Rod Sock, and a Gold Anodizesd aluminum case that is box shaped with black plastice ends.
