Bees are dryed out and will need rehydrated before pinning. 4 are already glued on a twig. All wings and legs are attached and in good looking shape. Every bee I picked up from in front of my bee hive looked good healthy. It makes me sad every winter this happens when bees die in the hive and the Bees kick them out of the hive on to the ground. My hive is still going. It happens because Honey Bees 🐝 oy live 45 days. In the summer. They should live 3-6 months during the winter winter months if they have proper stores of food. Aka honey. I left the Bees 🐝 2 suppers full of honey and 2 brood boxes and wrapped it up with blankets. They shouldn't be cold or hungry, but I could be doing them a disservice by wrapping them up, because they think it is warmer outside than it really is. And the fly out and die right in front of the hive. They can't fly when the temperature is below 40°. Or i could be suffocating them by wrapping them up. They need air to live, or it gets to much moisture in the hive and they can freeze that way. I have been keeping a hive for 5 years now and I've only over wintered my hive 2 years. But then they swarm on me because I didn't spit them in separate hives because they get over crowded. I learn so much every year I keep bees 🐝 Anyways when I started bee keeping i didn't realize it was so going to be so expensive to buy bee boxes, the hive body's. And new packages of bees every year I lose them. I've spent thousands on bee hives, bees and other equipment need. So I just started selling on eBay and I'm looking around the house for things to list and it hit me when I saw all my pretty honey bees lying on front of their hive. So I quickly whipped out the ebay and sure enough, people want these beautiful insects. I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.
